Dear ARPA community,

To make sure that fellows of ARPA community are well informed of the latest developments of ARPA, we will update the project dynamics and progress in ARPA community in our monthly report. Thank you all for your support!

01 ARPA Development Dynamics & Technology Progress

Main Network:

Completed the pre-alpha version, ready for launch.
Completed the API for node registration.
Created the database for the node registration system.
Updated the front-end of the official website to cooperate with the related progress on the main network.
Completed iteration and fixed the bugs in pre-alpha version.
Designed and tested the relevant node front-end module.
Implemented computing load balance for the computing task performance on the main network.
Provided description about the award mechanism on main net.

AWS Lambda:

Completed environment setup.
Completed node registration.
Competed node selection.
Offered MPC task dispatcher.
Restructured the AWS Lambda.

MPC：

Successfully completed end-to-end testing for the MPC computing network.
Detailed the MPC computing bonus process.
Adapted a new computing engine for the MPC matrix and vector library.
Completed iteration of the MPC linear regression function library.
Completed iteration of the MPC exponent arithmetic function library.
Completed iteration of the MPC trigonometric function arithmetic library.
Completed iteration of the MPC financial statistics function library.

Design of PSI Protocol Output Intersection List Features.

Launched the Turkish version on the home page.

Implemented the feature of displaying computing progress immediately on Websocket.

Completed iteration of threshold signature document.

02 Community, Marketing & Listings

FinD 2019 Fintech & Blockchain Summit by Chosun Media

ARPA was invited to FinD 2019 Fintech & Blockchain Summit organized by Chosun Media and was reported by multiple mainstream media of Korea.

FinD 2019 Fintech & Blockchain Summit in Seoul commenced on December 5th. The invitee include Korean governments, financial institutions, business giants, and large-sized Chinese enterprises. ARPA was the only blockchain startup that was invited to give a keynote speech.

Other participants include Samsung, Nestle, SK Telecom, Kakao Bank, Woori Bank, Baidu, WeBank, and R3. The sponsors include South Korea’s Financial Services Commission, Korea Financial Telecommunications & Clearings Institute， Ministry of Science and Technology, and parent company of UpBit.

ARPA CEO Felix’s speech on data privacy was reported by main stream media of Korea, including IT Chosun, E-Today, Daily Grid, and NewsBrite.

Co-organized an Offline Meeting with Gate.io

On December 9, ARPA organized an VIP meeting with Gate.io in Seoul, Korea.

By far, the ARPA Korean community has 3,000 members and has developed the largest Korean blockchain platform Cobak into an international supernode.

ARPA Heros

ARPA launched the ARPA Heros column, which will publish an article per week to introduce the ARPA supernodes and the people and things behind the ARPA supernodes.

By far, this column has updated three volumes.

Application Started for ARPA Mainnet Nodes

The Pre-alpha Mainnet of ARPA will go online for public on January 6th, 2020, 00:00 (HK time).

During the pre-alpha mainnet period, ARPA will test run 30 computing nodes. A group of users can obtain 45 ARPA tokens after completing a computing task by as a MPC node.

The channel for applying for the nodes will be started at December 23, 00:00 (HK time) and be closed at December 30, 00:00 (HK time). For the method on how to apply for nodes or more information about main network nodes, please visit the ARPA official website: https://arpachain.io.

ARPA Awarded Top 10 Blockchain Innovation Enterprises of China

On December 21, ARPA was invited to the 17th Chinese Enterprise Development Forum and the 4th Chinese Enterprise Business Environment Summit at China’s Great Hall of the People. The participants include more than 500 leaders of all levels, academicians and scientists, and entrepreneurs.

ARPA CEO Felix Xu participated in a panel discussion on blockchain technology on data. In the Forum, China Software Industry Association announced ARPA as first batch of members of Consensus Council. In addition, ARPA was awarded “Top 10 Blockchain Innovation Enterprises of China”. Other winning enterprises include Tencent, Baidu Blockchain, and Wanxiang Blockchain.

ARPA x HOLD App Gifts for Christmas and New Year

ARPA offered the following benefits for Christmas and New Year’s Festival: sharing a prize pool of 20,000 ARPA tokens by generating contents on HOLD App.

ARPA x Binance Super Meetup in Hanoi, Vietnam with CZ!

On December 16, ARPA co-hosted Binance Super Meetup in Hanoi, Vietnam. This Super Meetup is the first fans meetup co-organized by ARPA and Binance. Binance’s founder and CEO Zhao Changpeng (CZ) join via video conference for live AMA. He could not fly to Hanoi due to illness.

ARPA was launched on Binance at November 06, 2019 22:00 (HK time) and activated the ARPA/BNB, ARPA/BTC, and ARPA/USDT markets.

BigCoin, the biggest Vietnamese blockchain developer community, announced its cooperation with ARPA and became an ARPA supernode.

ARPA x Tomochain Office Visit

ARPA’s co-founders Felix Xu and Yemu Xu had a fruitful meeting with the most famous Vietnamese blockchain project Tomochain in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Tomochain aims to build a more scalable version of Ethereum. Felix and Yemu discussed DeFi, DEX, Finance dapp and other topics with Tomo team. ARPA will work with Tomochain to develop Vietnamese developer community in the DeFi field.

ARPA x Binance Super Meetup, meeting with Tomochain of Vietnam, and working with the largest blockchain developer community BigCoin show the emphasis of Vietnamese market to ARPA. ARPA aims to be one of the hottest project in Vietnam.
