ARPA Network is excited to share that we have partnered with Tomo Wallet to bring secure, on-chain random number generation to Telegram Mini Apps through Randcast. Now, developers can build next-generation decentralized applications and games within the Telegram ecosystem, using verifiable randomness to enhance fairness, security, and user experiences for over 1 billion Telegram users worldwide.

Elevating the Telegram Gaming Experience

Telegram Mini Apps have emerged as a powerful platform for developers to deliver interactive experiences directly within Telegram’s vast user base. However, integrating reliable and verifiable randomness has been a challenge — until now.

With the integration of ARPA Network’s Randcast service, Tomo Wallet empowers Telegram Mini Apps to seamlessly access secure, on-chain random numbers, driven by ARPA’s BLS Threshold Signature Scheme (BLS-TSS). This integration delivers fair and verifiable outcomes for gaming features like item drops, dice rolls, and dynamic maps — core demands for transparent decentralized gaming. Here’s what sets this service apart::

  • Secure and Tamper-Proof: Random numbers are generated through a decentralized network of nodes using the BLS-TSS protocol, eliminating single points of failure or manipulation. This ensures robust security and integrity of the random numbers.
  • Verifiable On-Chain: Every random number generated can be independently verified on-chain, enhancing transparency and building trust in your applications. Users can be confident that game outcomes are fair and unbiased.
  • Scalable and Efficient: Designed for high throughput and low latency, Randcast is suitable for real-time applications. The non-interactive nature of the BLS-TSS protocol allows for rapid random number generation without compromising security.

How It Works

  1. Request Initiation: A Telegram Mini App requests a random number via Tomo Wallet.
  2. Randcast Activation: The request is forwarded to ARPA Network’s Randcast service.
  3. Decentralized Generation: Our network nodes execute the BLS-TSS protocol to generate a verifiable random number.
  4. On-Chain Verification: The random number is returned to the Mini App and can be independently verified on-chain.

We invite developers and builders to explore this new integration and harness the power of secure, on-chain randomness in their Telegram Mini Apps. Together, let’s build applications that are not only innovative but also uphold the standards of fairness and security.

Tomo Wallet is an all-in-one Web3 social wallet that allows users to log in effortlessly with their social accounts. It supports all major blockchain networks, including Bitcoin, EVM, Solana, Ton, Tron, Cosmos, and more. With Tomo Wallet, users can easily manage assets, send crypto, perform cross-chain swaps, buy trending meme coins, earn points, chat, make friends, and participate in token-based communities. They can also on- and off-ramp fiat currency using a credit card. Tomo is available as a Telegram mini-app, a mobile app for iOS and Android, and as a Google Chrome extension, offering a comprehensive solution for all Web3 needs.

About ARPA

ARPA Network (ARPA) is a decentralized secure computation network built to improve the fairness, security, and privacy of blockchains. ARPA threshold BLS signature network serves as the infrastructure of verifiable Random Number Generator (RNG), secure wallet, cross-chain bridge, and decentralized custody across multiple blockchains.

ARPA was previously known as ARPA Chain, a privacy-preserving Multi-party Computation (MPC) network founded in 2018. ARPA Mainnet has completed over 224,000 computation tasks in the past years. Our experience in MPC and other cryptography laid the foundation for our innovative threshold BLS signature schemes (TSS-BLS) system design and led us to today’s ARPA Network.

Randcast, a verifiable Random Number Generator (RNG), is the first application that leverages ARPA as infrastructure. Randcast offers a cryptographically generated random source with superior security and low cost compared to other solutions. Metaverse, game, lottery, NFT minting and whitelisting, key generation, and blockchain validator task distribution can benefit from Randcast’s tamper-proof randomness.
