We are thrilled to announce that ARPA Network has established a strategic partnership with RockX for node operation. RockX is a leading staking solution and institutional-grade blockchain access node provider. Benefiting from RockX’s expertise, this collaboration marks a major milestone in our continued efforts to enhance the robustness, security, and decentralization of the ARPA network.

ARPA BLS-TSS Network consists of multiple groups of nodes. Such design optimizes both network security and computation performance. The network becomes increasingly reliable as more nodes join.

In addition to professional tech support, node operators like RockX have to stake a considerable number of tokens. Also, we apply a staking mechanism ensuring good behavior is rewarded, while malicious nodes get their tokens slashed. Thus, the more nodes there are, the less likely a single bad actor can do damage worth the cost. Each new node makes the entire network more secure.

“Adding RockX as a new node operator helps to further fortify our network’s robustness,” said Felix Xu, CEO & Co-founder of ARPA: “We are confident that RockX’s commitment to operating a node will significantly contribute to the ARPA Network’s overall reliability and growth.”

“We believe running a node in ARPA Network aligns with both sides’ goal of advancing the blockchain industry, eventually it will contribute to an open and interlinked blockchain ecosystem,” said Zhuling Chen, Founder and CEO of RockX: “Together, we will empower Web3.0 with enhanced security and decentralization, making it more accessible and reliable for all.”

Decentralization is at the heart of the ARPA Network. This partnership is a major step in advancing the decentralization of the ARPA network. By spreading node operation across a broader range of partners, we’re preventing the concentration of power, improving network performance, and ensuring that the ARPA network remains truly decentralized and resilient against various attacks. These are essential in spurring ecosystem growth, which will potentially enhance rewards for our community members and ARPA token holders through increased network activity.

Looking ahead, we aim to continue growing and strengthening our network through strategic node partnerships. The collaboration with RockX is a key step toward our goals. We couldn’t be more excited to get started!

About ARPA

ARPA Network (ARPA) is a decentralized secure computation network built to improve the fairness, security, and privacy of blockchains. ARPA threshold BLS signature network serves as the infrastructure of verifiable Random Number Generator (RNG), secure wallet, cross-chain bridge, and decentralized custody across multiple blockchains.

ARPA was previously known as ARPA Chain, a privacy-preserving Multi-party Computation (MPC) network founded in 2018. ARPA Mainnet has completed over 224,000 computation tasks in the past years. Our experience in MPC and other cryptography laid the foundation for our innovative threshold BLS signature schemes (TSS-BLS) system design and led us to today’s ARPA Network.

Randcast, a verifiable Random Number Generator (RNG), is the first application that leverages ARPA as infrastructure. Randcast offers a cryptographically generated random source with superior security and low cost compared to other solutions. Metaverse, game, lottery, NFT minting and whitelisting, key generation, and blockchain validator task distribution can benefit from Randcast’s tamper-proof randomness.
