ARPA Randcast Partners with Sonic SVM to Strengthen Gaming Economies through Verifiable Randomness
ARPA Network is excited to announce a strategic partnership with Sonic, the first atomic Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) chain designed to empower independent game economies. This partnership brings together ARPA’s Randcast, an on-chain verifiable random number generation service, with Sonic’s innovative blockchain gaming architecture to enhance transparency and fairness in gaming experiences.
Sonic’s approach addresses critical challenges faced by game developers, including scalability and resource allocation. Leveraging its proprietary frameworks: HyperGrid for concurrent gameplay, Sorada for responsive interactions, and Rush for intuitive game development. Sonic provides game developers with dedicated blockchain resources, enabling smoother and richer player experiences.
By integrating Randcast into the Sonic ecosystem, games benefit from provably fair randomness for in-game mechanics such as loot drops, procedural generation, and economic systems. Randcast delivers cryptographic guarantees for randomness, ensuring all game events are verifiable, secure, and resistant to manipulation.
“Our focus with Randcast has always been on delivering a robust and tamper-proof randomness service that simplifies game logic. We’re excited to see how this collaboration helps developers streamline their work,” said Felix Xu, CEO of ARPA Network.
Sonic SVM’s design ensures that each game operates with dedicated resources, maintaining consistent performance regardless of scale. This collaboration marks a practical step forward in making blockchain gaming both more efficient and developer-friendly.
“At Sonic, we believe that a reliable and transparent system is essential for sustainable development. Partnering with ARPA Network allows us to integrate a solution that fits naturally into our ecosystem, empowering developers to focus on building engaging experiences,” said Chris, Sonic SVM CEO.
Stay tuned for more technical deep dives, integration guides, and success stories from the field. Let’s build the future of gaming together!
About ARPA
ARPA Network (ARPA) is a decentralized, secure computation network built to improve the fairness, security, and privacy of blockchains. The ARPA threshold BLS signature network serves as the infrastructure for a verifiable Random Number Generator (RNG), secure wallet, cross-chain bridge, and decentralized custody across multiple blockchains.
ARPA was previously known as ARPA Chain, a privacy-preserving Multi-party Computation (MPC) network founded in 2018. ARPA Mainnet has completed over 224,000 computation tasks in the past years. Our experience in MPC and other cryptography laid the foundation for our innovative threshold BLS signature schemes (TSS-BLS) system design and led us to today’s ARPA Network.
Randcast, a verifiable Random Number Generator (RNG), is the first application that leverages ARPA as infrastructure. Randcast offers a cryptographically generated random source with superior security and low cost compared to other solutions. Metaverse, game, lottery, NFT minting and whitelisting, key generation, and blockchain validator task distribution can benefit from Randcast’s tamper-proof randomness.
